Day 1

Depart Calgary and travel through the Canadian Rocky Mountains towns of Banff Lake Louise, Golden and Revelstoke until you reach the entrance to the Thompson Okanagan at Sicamous. Don’t miss a chance to stop here at D’ Dutchmen Dairy for some of the best ice cream ever made. At Sicamous you will leave Highway 1 west and join Highway 97 south, travelling along the picturesque Mara Lake. At Armstrong, be sure to visit the Village Cheese factory and the ever popular Log Barn where local produce and locally made food and snacks of all kind are a highlight.

Day 2

Spend a few hours discovering Vernon, the City of Murals and take a trip to Davison Orchards and the neighbouring Planet Bee. Continue south on Highway 97 and turn in at Predator Ridge, home to the renowned Predator Ridge Golf Resort and Sparkling Hill Resort and Spa. Enjoy lunch at either location before heading for an afternoon and evening of relaxation at the Kur Spa in Sparkling Hill Resort.

Day 3

Why not make today a day of relaxation and pampering at the Kur Spa at Sparkling Hill Resort. Complete the day with a wine tasting and dinner at a local winery, fine dining at a resort or wind down at a lakeshore pub.

Day 4

Enjoy a scenic drive along Lake Country as you make your way to the City of Kelowna. Kelowna is the best of an urban/rural mix where you can enjoy great shopping, visit numerous wineries and vineyards or bike the famous Myra Canyon Trestles. Take the time to stop by the Okanagan Lavender farm, Arlo’s Honey farm and Carmelis’s Goat Cheese all within a short drive of each other. Enjoy a leisurely dinner at one of the areas many restaurants featuring locally inspired cuisine.

Overnight Kelowna.

Day 5

This morning take the bridge across Okanagan Lake over to West Kelowna and make sure to visit the Westside Wine Trail and the iconic Mission Hill Winery. Continue south and be sure to visit the lakeside main street of Peachland, where there are numerous shops and dining locations all with beautiful views of the lake. Head south to Summerland and visit the Beanery or At Local Lounge and Grille situated on the lakeshore in Summerland.

Day 6

Spend part of the morning exploring Summerland’s Bottleneck Drive Wine Trail and step back in time with a ride on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway. Then head south to Penticton and the Naramata Bench for lunch and a few more winery visits. As you continue your trip south you will pass through Okanagan Falls and Oliver, both home to many more wineries varying in style and size. Passing through Oliver, take the time to stop into Covert Farms. Today’s final stop is Osoyoos for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

This final day in the region make sure to visit the NK’MIP Desert Cultural Centre where the history of the First Nations people in this area is brilliantly displayed and explained. This part of the valley is where some of the finest of the region’s red wine is produced and there are ample wineries with welcoming tasting rooms, where you can see just how fine these reds really are. Heading out of Osoyoos on Highway #3, there is a great photo opportunity at the sacred spotted lake.
