Travel with ease to Sun Peaks Canada’s second largest ski area and experience the joy of learning to ski in a dedicated area conveniently located only steps from the compact and intimate village. Favorable interior BC snow conditions combined with the progressive learning area allow for a safe, gentle and unintimidating experience for beginner skiers and boarders. 

Board one of the world’s most legendary trains, The Canadian by VIA Rail, for an overnight journey to Sun Peaks. Arrive in Kamloops at sunrise fully rested after a peaceful night’s sleep on board. ECONOMY CLASS | Provides spacious seats with long-haul travel in mind, complete with access to one domed observation car and the option to purchase food and beverage on board. SLEEPER PLUS CLASS | Provides on board accommodations with options to choose from semi-private upper and lower berths, Cabin for 1 or Cabin for Two, including freshly prepared meals, complimentary coffee, tea, juice and snacks and access to several domed observation

DAY 1 SUN PEAKS Disembark the train and immediately join the Sun Peaks Shuttle for a short 30 minute transfer to the Resort. Pillows, blankets, bottled water and free wifi are included. Upon arrival, guests can explore the village shops and pick up their lift tickets and rental equipment before joining one of Sun Peaks remarkable Canadian experiences such as Dog Sledding or Snowmobiling.

DAY 2 SUN PEAKS The Sun Peaks’ Learn to Ski programme provides a great introduction to the world of winter sport and is tailored to provide first time skiers and snowboarders with everything they need to hit the slopes; including lesson, equipment rentals, and learning area lift ticket. In the evening, guests can experience the magic of a winter’s night on a Moonlight Snowshoe Tour, including a delicious campfire treat of S‘mores.

DAY 3 SUN PEAKS TO VANCOUVER Continue to build your skills on the slopes for the day, a variety of lesson packages are available. In the afternoon try your hand at catching a wild Rainbow Trout on a fully guided Ice Fishing experience with a knowledgeable local guide. Transfer back to the VIA Rail station in Kamloops in the late evening to depart to Vancouver for another restful night on board The “Canadian”.
